Why our name

In Yogic science, immortality is not about living forever in the body. It’s about discovering the part of us that never changes - knowing the consciousness that remains steady through chaos, loss, joy, or fear.

A response to a world in need.

How we began

Yoga of Immortals (YOI) was born in the quiet chaos of the pandemic.

When Ishan Shivanand, a mental health professor and Vedic scholar, saw a global crisis unfolding, he recognized the ancient tools that could help. Drawing from his rigorous training under H.H. Dr. Avdhoot Shivanand in Indian monasteries, he curated meditative and yogic modalities as an immediate response.

People began sharing stories of restful sleep, lifted anxiety, and renewed clarity.

Receiving an overwhelming response, Ishan turned to research, assembling senior clinicians across the US, India, and South Africa to conduct clinical trials. Within just 4 to 8 weeks, studies showed up to 82% reduction in severe insomnia, generalized anxiety, and moderate to severe depression, alongside significant improvements in quality of life.

Dagmar is working as Yoga of Immortals Trainer and Educator at our Texas Centre. As the Head of the Centre, she conducts wellness workshops on Yoga Reset, Sacred Mantra Chantings, Drumming and Music, Balancing and more.

Mauritius

Dayna is serving as the Council Member of the UIH Foundation and School of Integrative Health and Wellness, founded by Ishan Shivanand in Mauritius. As the Head of Country at Yoga of Immortals Mauritius, she leads the wellness programs

Jnana Beekharry

Mauritius

Jnana is serving as the Director of Studies of the UIH Foundation and School of Integrative Health and Wellness, founded by Ishan Shivanand in Mauritius. She is a Yoga of Immortals Teacher, imparting resilience trainings to school and university students, and corporate professionals.
